About the Artist

HELLO

I'm Rhonda

My love of animals has been strong since I was very young. I always said I wanted to be an artist or a veterinarian when I grew up. My skills to connect and draw from my heart was natural. The progression from working in pet stores, to pet photography, to commissioned pet portraits has been a very fullfilling journey. I enjoy the rewards of memorializing family pets. It truly is an honor when I am chosen to create a portrait.

  • I'VE BEEN A PROFESSIONAL PET PORTRAIT ARTIST FOR OVER 20 YEARS
  • I ENJOY WORKING WITH VARIOUS ART MEDIA (such as pastels, acrylic, charcoal, and more)
  • I BELIEVE THAT OWNING AN ORIGINAL WORK OF ART IS A VERY SPECIAL THING
  • AND I BELIEVE THAT YOUR PET MAKES IT EVEN BETTER !

"Two Dogs and a Pig."

That was my usual answer to the question "Do you have pets?" So it was natural and fitting for me to keep the phrase, and it always got conversations going with other proud pet owners. In 2003, I knew I had to make a logo of my boys, and launch my website. No matter how many pets enter my life, they will forever be in my heart.

The Sweetheart

Trappey came from the Humane Society at about 8 months old. He was a beautiful dog and we named him after our favorite hot sauce.  He was too timid to play with toys, but quickly learned to trust us, enjoy toys, and wouldn't harm a fly. He lived a good life of 14 1/2 years! Not bad for raising a pig and a very big puppy named Barley.

The Spoiled Pig

Gravy was 9 weeks old when I bought him.
He was named after the lifestyle,
not the food. His gravy life included living in the house with blankets, pillows, and area rugs to aid his way around the tile floors.
Gravy outlived 4 dogs in his 22 year
lavish lifetime!

The Big Boy

Barley was only as tall as a beer can when we picked him from our friends litter. His father was a purebred Catahoula Leopard Dog and mom was a purebred Chocolate Lab. An amazing combination! His soulful eyes would sink right into your heart like an angel
on four paws! Barley's gentle spirit and love
graced our lives for 11 1/2 years.
